Jimmy Kimmel hits the red carpet while attending An Evening with Jimmy Kimmel on Wednesday (August 8) at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood.

The evening was held to celebrate all of the Emmy nominations for Jimmy‘s projects this year and hopefully get some more votes!

Jimmy held a panel to chat about his talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live and the special he produced with the legendary Norman Lear, Live in Front of a Studio Audience.

Also in attendance at the event were Live in Front of a Studio Audience‘s producer Norman, director James Burrows, and stars Anthony Anderson and Marla Gibbs.

During the event, a group of synchronized dancers gave a performance in the pool!

Sean Hayes is on a mission to get Hollywood to come out for NBC’s All Star Tribute to James Burrows special in this hilarious opening sketch!

He was tasked by Jim Parsons to call up everyone the director has ever worked with over the years.

We see funny cameos from Charlie Sheen, Ted Danson, Rhea Perlman, Eric McCormack, Woody Harrelson, George Wendt, Matt LeBlanc, Johnny Galecki, and more.

Longtime television director James Burrows is getting the spotlight on NBC’s Must See TV: An All-Star Tribute to James Burrows special tonight!

The 75-year-old comedy director is being recognized for his amazing work over the last 40 years.

James made his TV sitcom directing debut with a 1974 episode of The Mary Tyler Moore Show. He went on to direct episodes of Taxi, Cheers, Frasier, and Will & Grace, which collectively earned him 10 Emmy Awards.

He also directed the pilots for all four series, as well as for Friends, The Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men, and Mike & Molly. The taped special will celebrate his 1,000th episode directing, which coincides with his new NBC comedy Crowded.

“There is nobody with better TV comedy instincts than Jimmy Burrows, and because of his guiding hand these remarkable shows will be forever celebrated and stand the test of time,” Paul Telegdy, President, Alternative and Late Night Programming, NBC Entertainment, said. “The caliber of talent joining us to celebrate Jimmy’s accomplishments is a testament to his imprint in television history.”

Tonight’s NBC special Must See TV: An All-Star Tribute to James Burrows is set to be a star-studded affair!

The taped event, honoring the work of accomplished television director James Burrows, will feature appearances by the casts of Taxi, Cheers, Frasier, Will & Grace, The Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men, and Mike & Molly.

And perhaps the most highly-anticipated cast reunion is that of Friends, although Matthew Perry will be joining via a pre-taped segment. Watch a sneak peek now!

News spread earlier this month that a Friends reunion would take place during a James Burrows Tribute TV special honoring the director’s 1000 TV episodes.

Big news is that the entire Friends cast will make appearances, though Matthew Perry will be pre-taping his as he will be in London rehearsing for an upcoming play.

The rest of the guests for the big special, airing February 21, were also just announced.
