Twilight actor Kellan Lutz has some amazing news to share – his wife Brittany is pregnant!

The couple announced the news during an Instagram Live on Friday (September 4), which ended with them revealing the pregnancy.

Kellan and Brittany suffered a devastating miscarriage six months into her pregnancy earlier this year. (See what Kellan said to fans after the difficult moment in their lives)

“This is not a drill. This is not a throwback,” Brittany said. Kellan added, “This is real life… we’re pregnant again. For those that don’t know, we are pregnant.”

“Thank you all for lining with us, praying for us, supporting us. We’re so excited,” Kellan said.

Brittany added, “It was a surprise. You know, obviously it was a surprise losing our daughter at the beginning of the year. That was tough, and still is. There still are hard moments. We definitely went through a lot and I still would like to share my journey in some way that I can in the future.”

“Here we are with another little promise!” she said.

Kellan Lutz has revealed he’s reading “Midnight Sun,” which is the companion novel to the 2005 book “Twilight!” This book is told from the perspective of Edward Cullen.

“It’s here it’s finally here😎 @midnightsuntwilightsaga,” Kellan posted on Instagram. “I love learning more about Emmett while reading this book and Edwards thoughts! So good! @twilight”

Kellan starred in every Twilight movie as Emmett Cullen.

Kellan Lutz is opening up about he and wife Brittany losing their unborn.

The 35-year-old FBI: Most Wanted actor opened up to LaPalme Magazine about he and Brittany finding out their daughter was stillborn when she was six months pregnant.

We had just returned from our Babymoon in Fiji. We had such a great trip, but I remember her stomach was looking smaller,” Kellan recalled. “The thing for me is that I never thought this was a possibility.”

Kellan said that he and Brittany really relied on their faith while dealing with their loss.

“There is no easy way, but I’m just so grateful for our faith and sharing the blood of Jesus Christ,” Kellan continued. “We don’t have all the understanding in the world. There are some tough days where you’ll see the sonogram, and you’ll see her cute little nose that she had. But then again, we are so grateful she is in heaven, and we remind ourselves that she didn’t have to come into this world and deal with heartbreak, and she gets to be with Jesus. It’s bittersweet. But I’m happy to trust that one day we’ll have a big family.”

Now, Brittany is opening up about the tragedy a bit more.

“After tragedy or heartache it can be tempting to shut down so you don’t feel pain. Aka survival mode. But when you shut yourself off to pain, you also shut yourself off to the things that can bring you joy too. I’ve done that in the past. More than once. I can tell you from experience it takes a LOT of work to soften your heart after you’ve let it go hard,” she wrote on Instagram.

She continued, “Throughout the last two weeks I’ve worked SO hard to remain soft. As much as I’m tired of falling apart, and want to be done finding myself crying in a ball on the floor, if I allowed myself to fall into the temptation to shut down, I know I’d be missing those special moments that have made me smile and laugh and feel happy again.”

“Today Kel and I were walking after church and I saw this sidewalk full of hearts. Instead of being numb to avoid all the things that remind me of being pregnant just two short weeks ago, I was able to see a sidewalk full of hearts as a little hug for my heart letting me know God’s got us. He’s not done writing my story. Like my doctor said the day I found out our sweet baby girl didn’t have a heartbeat anymore: ‘This isn’t the end of your story. This is just a crappy chapter, but you’re going to get through this.’”

Brittany added, “If you’re having a crappy chapter, this isn’t the end of your story either! You’re gonna get through this. But keep your soft heart! The world needs it!”
