'I Yield My Time' Citizen Goes Viral During LAPD Public Zoom Call

A public Zoom call hosted by the Los Angeles Police Commission that was planned to discuss the protests following George Floyd‘s death turned into nine hours of citizens demanding that the LAPD Chief of Police resign.

During the call, callers slammed the department for the LAPD’s response to the protests and demanded that Chief Michel Moore resign, after blamed protestors for the George‘s death.

Earlier this week, Chief Moore said people “capitalizing” on the protests and “looting” were just as responsible for the death of George as the officers who killed him. “His death is on their hands, as much as it is on those officers,” Moore said. He later apologized for his comments.

A citizen named Jeremy Frisch called into the meeting and he had some very harsh words for Chief Moore, saying that the LAPD is “slaughtering peaceful protestors.”

Each caller was allowed 30 seconds to say what they needed to say – and boy did Jeremy take advantage of every second.

“Black lives matter. Defund the police. I find it disgusting that the LAPD is slaughtering peaceful protestors on the street,” Jeremy shouted. “I had two friends go to the protest in Beverly Hills a couple days ago and the protestors were peaceful until the police showed up with their excessive, violent force shooting rubber bullets and throwing tear gas. Is this what you think of, protecting and serving? Because I think it’s bulls–t. F–k you Michel Moore. I refuse to call you an officer or a chief because you don’t deserve those titles. You are a disgrace. Suck my d–k and choke on it. I yield my time. F–k you.”

Jeremy Frisch‘s comments in the call are timestamped in the video.

If you are at the beach, physical distancing and masks are still required, but if you are in the water, you are allowed to take your mask off.

Parking lots, bike paths, piers, and boardwalks will remain closed until further notice.

“I urge everyone to follow all Public Health Orders for your safety and your neighbors, and please use the beach responsibly by practicing physical distancing,” Manhattan Beach Mayor Richard Montgomery said in a statement. “If beach visitors do not follow all the rules, the State of California or Los Angeles County can once again close our beaches. By abiding by these measures, you will play an important role in keeping the beaches open.”
