Rami Malek‘s hit series Mr. Robot has been renewed for a third season by USA!

“We couldn’t be more proud of Mr. Robot, a series that has pushed boundaries, captured the cultural zeitgeist and been honored as one of the best dramas on television,” NBCUniversal Cable entertainment president Chris McCumber said in a statement (via TV Line). “Midway through its second season, Mr. Robot continues to break new ground and open up new opportunities for the network. We can’t wait to see where [series creator] Sam Esmail and the entire brilliant Robot team take us next.”

Season 2 is currently airing on USA. The third season is expected to air next summer.

The cast of Mr. Robot is getting ready for the season two premiere this week!

In a new interview, Portia says viewers will see a change in her character Angela this year.

“She wants to change corporate America from within,” Portia told Vanity Fair. “Here’s this girl that you think is maybe going to be compromised by the system, but at the same time, out of nowhere, she’s very unpredictable with her behavior. . . . In the beginning [of the show], she’s very attached to this idea of herself: ‘I want to be taken seriously. I’m going to have this boyfriend.’ This idea of this more perfect way of living.”

The season two premiere episode of Mr. Robot just debuted on social media – days ahead of the planned television premiere date!

The news was announced in a Facebook chat earlier today, and then posted to Twitter hours later.

“We have released the #mrrobot season_2.0 Premiere early, but it won’t be here long. Watch while you can, friends,” the Mr. Robot Twitter account wrote.

The Rami Malek-starrer show is set to debut on July 13.

The 35-year-old actor was joined on set by his co-star Stephanie Corneliussen as they chatted in between scenes.

Meanwhile, Stephanie was recently promoted to a series regular for the second season of the show, according to Deadline.

It was just announced that the show would have 12 episodes this season instead of the previously announced 10, The Wrap reports. The show will also be getting an after show!

Rami was also spotted filming scenes for the USA series in his signature black hoodie that day alongside the show’s creator Sam Esmail.

After a successful first season of Mr. Robot, Rami told emmy magazine that he gets recognized by fans a lot more now.

“I’m definitely getting stopped more on the street than I did in the past,” Rami said. “But some are worried about me. They want to hug me. One guy asked if I had a drug problem. I was like, ‘No, dude. Slow your roll! You’ve got to be able to separate your worlds, man. Elliot’s not me.’”

The second season of Mr. Robot is set to premiere on July 13.

Rami recently opened up about the pressure of having a show that opened with big success in season one.

“I think that the day we wrapped the first season, I’ve been thinking about the second season and feeling like there was an immense amount of pressure. There is something scary about coming out of the gate so strong. You want to be able to retain that or improve upon it,” Rami told THR. “The only way to alleviate myself of that pressure is just to keep working, keep discovering, keep researching and go to that place every chance I could. We have a great group of people. It feels like everybody came back with that mind-set that said, ‘not only can we do as good a job, we can do better.’”
