Sabrina Carpenter gets into a group pic with Ava Michelle and Luke Eisner at the premiere of their new film, Tall Girl, on Monday night (September 9) in Los Angeles.

The trio met up with co-stars Rico Paris, Clara Wilsey, Anjelika Washington, Angela Kinsey, and Nzingha Stewart on the red carpet.

Tall Girl centers on Jodi (Michelle), who has always been the tallest girl in school — and she’s always been uncomfortable with it. After slouching her way through life for 16 years and being made fun of by classmates, Jodi meets Stig (Eisner), a seemingly perfect Swedish foreign exchange student who’s even taller than she is.

Jodi’s new crush turns her world upside down and throws her into a surprising love triangle, but with the help of her two best friends as well as her beauty queen sister Harper (Carpenter), Jodi comes to realize that she’s far more than her insecurities about her appearance have led her to believe.

Tall Girl will premiere on September 13th on Netflix!

Ava Michelle is set to star in the new Netflix movie Tall Girl!

The 16-year-old actress, dancer, and model will play “Jodi, a 16 year old who must embrace what makes her different and be proud to stand out, not fit in.”

Griffin Gluck will play Jodi’s best friend while Luke Eisner will make his feature film debut as Stig, a handsome – and equally tall – Swedish foreign exchange student.

Sabrina Carpenter, Paris Berelc, Steve Zahn, and Angela Kinsey round out the cast. The film, to be directed by Nzingha Stewart (pictured center in this photo), begins production this week in New Orleans.

“It was essential for us to find an actor to portray our lead who can speak to the challenges and lessons that Jodi experiences from a very personal place of authenticity,” Nzingha said in a statement. “Ava’s ability to beautifully and uniquely showcase those attributes stood out to us in a way that we believe audiences will connect with.
