'The Fast & the Furious' to be Re-Released in Theaters for 15th Anniversary

The original The Fast and the Furious film is set to be re-released in theaters this summer to celebrate the film’s 15th anniversary!

The studio announced today that the film will return to theaters on June 22 for a limited nationwide run to commemorate the milestone.

“Fifteen years ago my life changed forever. Dom was born… Little did I know back then what that really meant,” the film’s star Vin Diesel told EW in a statement. “The brotherhood formed with Brian, the love personified in Letty and the sense of family initiated by Mia… It is surreal that this film has held up all the years and led to so much more. Proud of our Fast saga family. From studio to crew, thank you all.”

Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, and more also starred in the original 2001 movie.

Paul Walker's Daughter Awarded $10 Million in Crash Lawsuit

It was just revealed that Paul Walker‘s daughter Meadow reached a $10.1 million settlement with the driver of the vehicle in which her father passed away.

A lawyer for the 17-year-old told TMZ that the basis of the settlement was to partly blame driver Roger Rodas for the fatal accident.

The settlement was actually reached 2014, but remained under the radar because it was not filed under Meadow‘s name.

“The amount paid by the estate of Roger Rodas into a trust for Meadow Walker only covers a fraction of what her father would have earned as an international movie star had his life not tragically been cut short,” the lawyer explained.

Meadow is still in the middle of a lawsuit against Porsche AG for “producing a vehicle that was defective and caused Paul Walker‘s death.”

Michelle Rodriguez Is Jealous That Paul Walker Died First

Michelle Rodriguez is opening up about how she was affected by the sudden death of her Fast & Furious co-star Paul Walker in 2013.

In new documentary The Reality of Truth, the 37-year-old actress explained that she did anything she could to get her mind off of his passing.

“I have to say, you know, when I lost Paul, I went through about a year of just being an animal. Like, what could I do, physically, to just get my mind off of existentialism? Get my mind off of how transient life is and how we come here and can just disappear at any moment. How could I get my mind off that?” she explained.

She added that using a psychedelic plant called Ayahuasca helped her come to realizations about his death.

Michelle said, “I did everything I could possibly do to hide from myself and I’ll tell you that my Ayahuasca trip made me sad that he left me here. It wasn’t a sadness that he’s gone, it’s more like a jealousy that he’s there first.”
