Phoebe Waller-Bridge is Honored by Taylor Swift for Time's 100 Most Influential People of 2020 List!

Phoebe Waller-Bridge has been named one of the most influential people of 2020!

The 35-year-old Fleabag creator made Time’s 100 list meaning she’s one of the 100 most influential people in the world, according to the mag.

Each year, the honorees are highlighted and have a piece written about them in the magazine by a fellow celeb. This year, Taylor Swift wrote a touching piece about the power that is Phoebe.

“The 2019 Emmys were full of glitz and glamour, but as far as the Internet was concerned, there was one image that stole the show,” the 30-year-old entertainer wrote. “The picture in question launched thousands of tweets, ranging from ‘Phoebe Waller-Bridge at the Emmy’s after party is a big fat mood,’ to ‘My vision board is just this photo 500 times’ and the popular ‘THE POWER SHE HOLDS.’ It depicts Phoebe, mid-puff-of-smoke, blissfully relaxing on a sun lounger in a glittery Monique Lhuillier gown, surrounded by Emmys. It was, to paraphrase pretty much everyone who saw it, iconic.”

“But an image alone doesn’t evoke this kind of passionate response without a story behind it. The reason this picture feels so good to see is that before this moment, there were seemingly endless drafts and rewrites and deadlines,” Taylor continued. “There were countless times this writer was up at all hours of the night, not celebrating in the delicious glow of the light bouncing off her golden trophies, but racking her brain to try and stick a literary landing.”

Taylor added, “Sometimes all the puzzle pieces fall into place at the perfect time. A combination of razor-sharp instincts, killer wit and genuine care for the people she works with proved to be a winning hand. She is the executive producer and was a showrunner of the thrilling hit show Killing Eve. Her one-woman play Fleabag was adapted into a show that turned her into everyone’s favorite self-sabotaging maker of mischief. (Phoebe has a habit of creating complex female antiheroes in a way that seemed previously reserved for male characters.) And she co-wrote the screenplay for the new Bond film.”

“It’s magical to see that all the rehearsals, baby steps, false starts and dead ends can lead to an extremely driven and unfathomably talented woman unwinding in a lounge chair surrounded by her winnings,” Taylor concluded. “Phoebe Waller-Bridge and all that she has achieved is, indeed, a big mood.”

For Fleabag, Phoebe won three Emmys, two Golden Globes, two Critics’ Choice Awards, and a SAG award among many other honors.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge Has This 'Fleabag' Prop In Her Foyer

The first thing that Phoebe Waller-Bridge‘s guests see when they come to her home is the infamous wall of penises that was featured in Fleabag.

During her recent appearance on The Graham Norton Show, the 35-year-old actress and writer showed off the famous wall in her home.

“This is what welcomes folks once they come by way of the door,” she laughed about the prop, before opening up about how long the wall has actually been there.

“A few months in the past…my sister and I dwell right here and after we put it there at first, we had been like, it might be momentary,” Phoebe shared. “After which you understand once you simply put one thing down at your own home? You don’t give it some thought for ages after which it simply turns into invisible to you and then you definitely overlook that you’ve 12 large penises on the entrance door.”

The wall of penises made its debut in the first season when Olivia Colman’s character was hosting an “sexhibition.”

Just recently, it was announced that Phoebe will reunite with one of her Fleabag co-stars for a new project. See who it is here!

Andrew says, “What’s beautiful to me about the books is the relationship with the dæmons and, I think this is the first time we are revealing this, but my dæmon is going to be played by someone who is very close to me in my real life: a young performer and writer called Phoebe Waller-Bridge. The relationship is all about companionship, friendship, and loyalty and that’s what I feel about Phoebe in my real life so it’s wonderful that this is happening.”

Season two is expected to premiere later this year.

Last month, Andrew reprised his role as Hot Priest in a mashup with another hit series!

Sian Clifford Opens Up About Friendship With Phoebe Waller-Bridge: 'It Is So Easy'

Sian Clifford gets serious in a photo from her shoot with Porter, available now.

Here’s what the 37-year-old actress had to share with the mag:

On her relationship with Phoebe Waller-Bridge: “We want to keep on collaborating, because it is so easy and fluid – the dialogue we have…sometimes we don’t need to say anything…it’s done with a look. I don’t know if I will ever have that with someone else, the implicit trust of thoughts and ideas.”

On her wellness journey: “I felt deeply connected to it all immediately. That was the first time I ever meditated and the first time I ever did yoga. I loved it and got lost in that world and went and trained in nutrition, transcendental meditation, Buddhist meditation…I just sort of got buried in this alternative landscape.”

On coping with the success of Fleabag: “My big message about wellness is about consistency. It’s the tiny little 30-second show ups throughout your day that sustain you. You are your greatest brand, supporter, ally, lover, all of those things. If you can do that, you can really survive anything. Last year, if I hadn’t been in that place, it could have been extremely unsettling and overwhelming, because we never could have anticipated what happened to Fleabag last year.”
