Stan Lee is speaking out after being briefly hospitalized earlier this week.

The 95-year-old comic book writer was checked into an LA hospital after experiencing shortness of breath and an irregular heartbeat but is now home.

“All I really want to do is tell you that I’m feeling great. I’m glad I spent that evening in the hospital. It did me a lot of good. Now I’m home and looking for new trouble to get into. You know, the usual!” Stan told ABC.

He jokingly added, “It probably did my fans a lot of good. It kept me off their backs for the evening. But I’m feeling good now and I can’t wait to get in there and tangle with all the competition.”

Marvel comic book legend Stan Lee was rushed to the hospital after experiencing shortness of breath and an irregular heartbeat, according to TMZ.

The 95-year-old comic book writer was taken to Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles on Wednesday (January 31), but is doing well and is in stable condition.

Stan‘s rep says that he “is doing well and feeling good, he is staying there for a few days for some check ups as a safety precaution.”

Just days ago, Stan attended the world premiere of the Marvel movie Black Panther, as seen in the gallery.

The 41-year-old actor, who plays the title character in the Disney and Marvel flick, hit the purple carpet at the event held at Dolby Theatre on Monday (January 29) in Hollywood.

He paired his floral jacket with a gold bracelet and rings.

Chadwick was joined by his co-star Michael B. Jordan, who suited up in all black with gold details on his collar and loafers.

Also in attendance were their co-stars Daniel Kaluuya, Sterling K. Brown, Martin Freeman, Andy Serkis, Forest Whitaker, Winston Duke, Stan Lee, who was also a writer and executive producer, and director Ryan Coogler.

Black Panther hits theaters on February 16.

Chris Hardwick is dapper in a suit as he hits the carpet at Extraordinary: Stan Lee A Special Tribute held at the Saban Theater on Tuesday (August 22) in Los Angeles.

The 45-year-old entertainer, who also hosted the event, was joined by Alan Tudyk, David Hasselhoff, Lou Ferrigno, Guardians of the Galaxy stars Pom Klementieff and Michael Rooker, and Stan Lee himself.

“Thank you for celebrating @TheRealStanLee with us!! Sorry for all the mic issues!! Good news: they’re working now! Bad news: show’s over,” Chris tweeted. “Also thank you to @omaze and @MakeAWish for being a part of the @TheRealStanLee event!! It’s was an incredible honor for me! :)”

The two-hour program mixed live appearances with video tributes and animated segments that told the story of Stan‘s career. The 94-year-old dreamer behind Spider-Man, Iron Man and scores of other superheroes sat center stage at the Saban Theatre as one artist-admirer after another shared how his characters and creative energy inspired them.

Carrie Fisher and Stan Lee officially became Disney Legends at the D23 Legends Awards!

The late Star Wars actress and the 94-year-old comic book writer were honored during the ceremony on Friday (July 14) in Anaheim, Calif.

Carrie‘s Star Wars co-star Mark Hamill was also honored.

Disney chairman and CEO Bob Iger introduced both Stan and Mark on stage.

The event marked Stan‘s first public appearance since the death of his wife Joan earlier this month.

“I would love to give my deepest respects for the super cool space sis I have in Carrie Frances Fisher,” Mark told the crowd. “I loved her. We were like siblings. The good and the bad! We’d have huge fights and not speak to one another. But we loved each other, and what a great thrill it was to come back in The Force Awakens at that time in our lives. There was a comfort level with each other. We could rely on each other. And there was a deep respect. I know if she was here this morning, she would have flipped me the bird at least twice already, so thank you all so much. I’m so humbled and so grateful, and I love you all.”

“I loved Walt Disney,” Stan said during his speech (via THR). “He was more than a man, he was an inspiration. To think that today I’m standing here in the home that Disney built, that paid tribute to Jack [Kirby, his late collaborator] and all things Disney – it is so thrilling. And I can’t leave without saying, ‘Excelsior!’”

Joan Lee, the wife of of Marvel’s Stan Lee, has sadly died at the age of 93.

The couple was married for 69 years and would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in December.

“I can confirm the sad news that Joan Lee passed away this morning quietly and surrounded by her family,” the Lee family spokesperson told THR. “The family ask that you please give them time to grieve and respect their privacy during this difficult time.”

Joan died on Thursday (July 6) in Los Angeles after reportedly suffering a stroke earlier in the week. She is survived by her husband Stan and their daughter Joan Celia. They had another daughter, Jan, who died three days after she was born in 1953.
