The late XXXTentacion is on top of the charts.

The rapper, who died at the age of 20 earlier this year, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with his first posthumous album Skins as of Monday (December 17) according to the official chart company.

It is XXXTentacion’s second overall No. 1 album, earning 132,000 equivalent album units in its first week, with 52,000 of those being album sales. It’s also the first posthumous No. 1 album since Prince‘s The Very Best of Prince in 2016.

His last album, ?, opened at No. 1 back in March of 2018. His first album 17 debuted and peaked at No. 2 in 2017.

XXXTentacion‘s legacy lives on with his new album.

The late rapper’s new album Skins has just been released – after his mother decided that his fans still deserved to hear his music.

XXXTentacion was tragically shot and killed when he was only 20-years-old while he was shopping in Miami back in June.

Before his death, XXXTentacion teamed up with Kanye West for the song “One Minute” that is featured on the new album.

XXXTentacion‘s family is accepting an award on the late rapper’s behalf at the 2018 American Music Awards on Tuesday (October 9) at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

“I’m so nervous, you guys…I am honored to accept this award on behalf of my son. I would like to thank the AMAs, his fans, and to everyone who made this possible,” his mother Cleopatra Bernard said while tearing up and accepting the award.

In June, the late entertainer was shopping for a motorcycle in Miami, Fla. when a gunman ran up to his car and opened fire.

Rapper XXXTentacion, who was shot and killed last week at the young age of 20, has a song that jumped to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 after his tragic death.

His song “Sad!” was at number 52, and jumped to number one after the news of his passing.

The song peaked at number seven back in March, and is off of his album ?.

XXXTentacion was shot and killed on Monday (June 18) while shopping for a motorcycle in Miami, Fla.

Our continued thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this time.

Jamie Foxx addressed the death of XXXTentacion in an emotional speech while hosting the 2018 BET Awards on Sunday night (June 24) in Los Angeles.

During the speech, Jamie called for change regarding the way the world reacts to the death of young stars.

“At the risk of sounding old, we can’t get too used to these types of things. We’re too used to young people getting killed. We don’t even trip anymore,” he said.

“It seems senseless, and I’m not saying that we can stop everything, but we gotta figure something out.”
