Dakota Fanning: 'Effie' Cleared for Release After Lawsuit

The 19-year-old actress’ film Effie was recently in the middle of a copyright lawsuit, which would have prevented its theatrical release.

The Southern New York District court ruled that Emma Thompson‘s movie did not infringe on Gregory Murphy‘s The Countess, as he claimed, and therefore, Effie will be released in theaters, according to The Guardian.

While no US release date has been set, the UK will be able to view Effie in May.
