Hailee Steinfeld Talks Learning to Play Guitar for 'Begin Again' (Video)

Hailee Steinfeld wears a pop of color with yellow pumps while walking into The Today Show studios on Thursday morning (July 10) in New York City.

The 17-year-old actress opened up in her interview about her brand new film Begin Again, out now.

“That alone, filming in New York, was so amazing,” Hailee said. “It was my first time shooting in the city, the first time spending really more than a weekend here. I fell in love with it. Making the movie was about as much fun as it was to watch it. And that’s how I felt making it.”

As for learning to play the guitar, Hailee said, “I would listen to classic rock to hear the guitar and get the feel of what it’s like to hold one. My character Violet is a teenager who’s struggling with her parents’ separation and she’s rebelling against them.”
