Carolina Panthers Quarterback Cam Newton Injured in Car Accident

Carolina Panthers star quarterback Cam Newton was involved in a car accident today in Charlotte, North Carolina, where his truck was flipped.

The 25-year-old pro NFL player was seen on the side of the road “grimacing in pain” and being tended to by several people after the crash. The photo (see full picture below) shows Cam looking in pain, TMZ reports.

He was taken to the hospital in an ambulance.

The crash comes days after Cam‘s stellar performance in a game against the New Orleans Saints, where he led his team to a 41-10 victory, throwing for 3 touchdowns.
