Courteney Cox Joins the Cast of Indie Film 'Mothers Day'

Courteney Cox steps out of her Land Rover before heading into a studio on Tuesday (July 7) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 51-year-old Cougar Town actress has just signed on to join the cast of the upcoming indie drama Mothers Day.

The film tells emotional interwoven stories about what it means to be a mom, tied together through a rock photographer who unexpectedly becomes pregnant. As she comes to terms with the life changing news, she takes a look at her relationship with her estranged mother and, through a series of photographs documenting motherhood in all its varieties, she considers what it means to be maternal at all.

The Mothers Day cast also includes Roselyn Sanchez, Sharon Stone, Christina Ricci, Paul Wesley, Susan Sarandon and her daughter Eva Amurri Martino.

Mothers Day is expected to hit theaters in 2016.
