'Ant-Man' Retains Box Office Crown Over 'Pixels' & Newcomers

Marvel’s latest movie Ant-Man is the box office winner for the second week in a row after a close race with Pixels.

Paul Rudd‘s superhero film grossed an estimated $24.765 million in its second frame while the Adam Sandler action comedy brought in $24 million.

In third place was the animated film Minions with $22.1 million and in fourth place was the Amy Schumer comedy Trainwreck with $17.3 million.

Jake Gyllenhaal and Rachel McAdams‘ boxing film Southpaw exceeded expectations and grossed $16.5 million for a fifth place finish while Paper Towns, starring Nat Wolff and Cara Delevingne, debuted in sixth place with $12.5 million.
