America Ferrera Confused for Gina Rodriguez During Golden Globes 2016 Announcement Ceremony

The Golden Globes Twitter account made the mistake of confusing America Ferrera with Gina Rodriguez during the nominations announcement ceremony on Thursday (December 10).

The official Twitter account of the award show made the mistake of tagging Gina‘s name in two separate tweets, when really, it was America who was at the ceremony to announce the awards.

Gina was nominated for her work in Jane the Virgin, but she wasn’t at the ceremony that morning.

After the Twitter account posted both the tweets, Gina and America‘s names began trending because of the outrage associated with the huge blunder.
