Dave Chappelle Slams Media for 'Twisting' Donald Trump's Leaked Comments, Shares He Voted for Hillary Clinton

Dave Chappelle is sharing his opinions on the upcoming presidential election, and he is not holding anything back.

During a surprise show in New York City on Friday night (November 4), the 43-year-old comedian slammed the media for “twisting” Donald Trump‘s words in the leaked audio tapes where he reportedly bragged that fame let’s him do “anything” he wants before making the infamous “Grab ‘em by the p—y” comment.

Dave went on to explain that what Donald said shouldn’t be considered sexual assault.

“Sexual assault? It wasn’t. He said, ‘And when you’re a star, they let you do it.’ That phrase implies consent. I just don’t like the way the media twisted that whole thing. Nobody questioned it” Dave said before allegedly blaming Hillary Clinton for leaking the tapes.

“What I heard on that tape was gross,” Dave reportedly said according to the Observer. “But the way I got to hear it was even more gross. You know that came directly from Hillary.”

The following day, a representative for Dave told Variety that, “Dave is disgusted by the tone of the election and especially by the idea that his comedy would be misconstrued to defend [Donald T]rump. His comedy show blasted both candidates.”

Also during the show, Dave shared that he voted for Hillary, but not without admitting some haste.

“She’s going to be on a coin someday. And her behavior has not been coin-worthy,” Dave said. “She’s not right and we all know she’s not right.”

ICYMI, Dave will make his Saturday Night Live hosting debut on November 12 – the first episode post-election Tuesday.
