Luke Evans Celebrates Wales at St. David's Day Celebration in NYC!

Luke Evans is celebrating the national holiday of Wales!

The 38-year-old actor appeared at a special St. David’s Day Celebration at the Mondrian Park Avenue on Tuesday night (February 27) in New York City.

Luke stars as the face of Visit Wales’ 2018 Year of the Sea tourism campaign, and originally hails from Pontypool, Wales. He shared his pride for Welsh heritage and culture at the event to raise the profile for Wales as a tourism destination.

He spoke to attendees about his love for all things Wales, and read a heartfelt letter from his mother outlining her recommendations for the best places to visit.

“I have such fond memories spending holidays by the coast in Wales, and I try to get back here as often as I can. It offers complete respite from the hustle of everyday life and reminds me how lucky I was to grow up surrounded by such awe-inspiring scenery,” he said.
