Morgan Freeman Issues Apology Amid Inappropriate Behavior Allegations

Morgan Freeman is speaking out after he was accused of inappropriate behavior.

“Anyone who knows me or has worked with me knows I am not someone who would intentionally offend or knowingly make anyone feel uneasy,” the 80-year-old Oscar-winning actor said in a statement to Variety on Thursday (May 24).

Earlier that day, CNN reported that at least eight woman have come forward to accuse Morgan of harassment or inappropriate behavior including making suggestive comments and reportedly trying to lift up a production assistant’s skirt.

“I apologize to anyone who felt uncomfortable or disrespected — that was never my intent,” Morgan finished his statement.
