Claire Foy Says 'I Don't Feel Defined' by Playing Queen Elizabeth in 'The Crown'
Claire Foy keeps it cool as she attends the photo call for her latest film The Girl in the Spider’s Web held at Grand Hyatt Hotel on Monday (October 29) in Berlin, Germany.
The 34-year-old actress was joined at the event by her co-star Volker Bruch, as well as the film’s writer-director Fede Alvarez.
Claire recently opened up about moving forward with her career after portraying Queen Elizabeth for two seasons on her hit Netflix show, The Crown.
“I don’t feel like I’m defined by playing Queen Elizabeth,” Claire told People. “It’s a huge honor that people liked that character and therefore see me as that character. So, I’m not trying to actively go against that.”
“My career is only for me, really,” Claire added. “I can’t do it for anybody else and so the choices and decisions I make are purely based on what I want to do. That’s it really. It’s a really selfish thing.”
