Katie Holmes is getting in some retail therapy.

The 40-year-old actress was spotted shopping at Madewell on Thursday (March 14) in New York City.

Katie looked chic in shades of blue as she headed out for her shopping run.

Katie is set to star in the upcoming The Seret Movie, based on the bestselling book, about a hard-working young widow with three children who hires a handyman to fix her house after a terrible storm. As the handyman grows closer to the family, he shares his philosophy of believing in the power of thought to create what we want, but the widow soon realizes he carries a secret connection to her past.
