Whoopi Goldberg Under Fire for Comment About Mariah Carey's Body

Whoopi Goldberg made a quick remark during The View that is gaining attention.

On Thursday (August 1), while Jerry O’Connell was a guest on the show, he discussed what it was like to play Mariah Carey‘s boyfriend in the “Heartbreaker” music video.

As Sunny Hostin recalled that it was “twenty years ago,” Whoopi murmured: “twenty bodies ago.”

There has been social media backlash ever since, with commenters replying to the video with comments for Whoopi.

“20 bodies ago? @WhoopiGoldberg you, yourself have changed body types MANY times. What’s this about? You’re always jumping on people to be more positive and polite and you come up in here with this? What’s got you mad today?” one wrote.

“Whoopi talking about 20 bodies ago? Sis been looking like an old women since she was in her teens,” added another.
