These Celebrities Were All Arrested While Protesting

In a speech in 2009 at Oxford University, Martin once said he has been arrested 66 times for activism and protesting!

In that speech, he spoke about his first arrest back in 1986 for protesting against Ronald Reagan‘s “star wars” initiative. “It was a terrifying experience, and also one of the happiest days of my life, because it turned out we had done everything we possibly could to object to this idea,” he said.

If you don’t know, that initiative was intended to protect the USA from attacks by implementing a space-based anti-missile system.
