Stray Kids Member Woojin is Leaving the K-Pop Band

Stray Kids member Woojin (real name: Kim Woo Jin) has announced that he is leaving the K-pop group.

The South Korean boy band member (pictured in the bottom row, second from the left) and JYP Entertainment made the revelation on social media on Monday (October 28).

Woojin, who has been a member of Stray Kids, has left the team and terminated his contract due to personal circumstances,” the company wrote. “We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused many fans.”

The company also apologized to fans and urged them to support Woojin as he embarks “on a new path.”

The news comes just ahead of the group’s planned comeback.

Stray Kids – which was formed through the 2017 reality show of the same name – is also composed of members Lee Know, Han, Changbin, Seungmin, Hyunjin, I.N, Felix, and Bang Chan.

As a result of Woojin’s exit, Stray Kids‘ upcoming mini-album Clé: LEVANTER will drop on December 9 instead of November 2.
