Nicolas Cage in Talks to Play Himself in Meta Movie 'The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent'

Nicolas Cage is in talks to star in a new movie!

The 55-year-old actor is in talks to star in the upcoming movie The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent where he will be playing none other than Nicolas Cage!

Nicolas‘ character is described as “desperate to get a role in a new Tarantino movie while also dealing with a strained relationship with his teenage daughter. He also occasionally talks to an egotistical 1990s version of himself who rides him for making too many crappy movies and for not being a star anymore,” according to Hollywood Reporter.

The character is also under a mountain of debt and is forced to make an appearance a Mexican billionaire’s birthday party, who is a fan of Nicolas. He is then informed by the CIA that the billionaire is a drug cartel king and has kidnapped the daughter of a Mexican presidential nominee.

The meta movie project has a script by Tom Gormican and Kevin Etten, with Gormican attached to direct.
