The Top 10 Highest-Paid Country Stars of 2019 Revealed - Only One Woman Makes the List

Country stars are raking it in!

Forbes just revealed the Top 10 highest-paid stars in the genre – and only one artist in the bunch is a woman.

The year’s highest earner raked in an impressive $42.5 million, and the lowest earner on the Top 10 list still yielded a fantastic $23.5 million this year. There are also some new faces further down: Lil Nas X, for instance, debuted at No. 18 with $14 million. Will he make the Top 10 next year? We’ll see!

And while there’s still just one lone female artist in the Top 10, Forbes notes that there’s actually overall progress in the Top 20, which includes acts like Faith Hill (No. 17) and Carrie Underwood (No. 16): “There are 6 women in the top 20—the least lopsided ratio in the seven years Forbes has published the list. And Lil Nas X is both the first openly gay act and the first person of color to make it.”
