Eddie Murphy Reveals the One Role He Regrets Turning Down

Eddie Murphy sits down for an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, which aired on Friday (December 20).

The 58-year-old actor, who is hosting Saturday Night Live tonight, discussed the one movie role he regrets turning down.

“The only movie I ever turned down that became a big hit was Who Framed Roger Rabbit,” he said. “I was gonna be the Bob Hoskins dude and I was like, ‘What? Animation and people? That sounds like bulls— to me.’”

“Now every time I see it, I feel like an idiot,” he added.

Eddie was also asked to be in the original Ghostbusters movie, but he had to pass as he was already attached to Beverly Hills Cop.

“It wasn’t like I turned it down,” he added. “I wasn’t available because I was doing this other movie.”
