Mark Wahlberg Weighs In On His Friend Tom Brady's NFL Future: 'I Want Him To Do What's Best For Him'

Mark Wahlberg dropped by Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday night (February 27) to promote his new Netflix movie Spenser Confidential, but instead found himself fielding questions about his friend Tom Brady.

The longtime New England Patriots quarterback’s future in the NFL is currently up in the air, so host Jimmy questioned the 48-year-old actor about the possibility of Tom leaving.

“If Tom goes somewhere else, I’ll support him. He’s given us so much joy in six Super Bowls. I can root for him,” Mark told Jimmy. “I think he has an idea of what he wants to do, and I want him to do what’s best for him and his family. He’s brought us so much joy.”

Mark admitted that he hopes Tom Brady will stick with the Patriots: “I think hopefully the Patriots will be smart enough to pay him. I think if not, the Raiders are obviously an option,” he said. “He’s gonna want to go somewhere where he can win.”

Mark Wahlberg also talked about sitting next to LeBron James at a Lakers game, being friends with a lot of the players, being neighbors with Magic Johnson, his 16-year-old daughter learning to drive, and making his new Netflix movie Spencer Confidential, which he attended the premiere to following his interview.
