Broadway's Gerard Canonico Says Lea Michele Was a 'Nightmare' to Him During 'Spring Awakening'

Broadway actor Gerard Canonico is the latest actor to speak out about his experience with Lea Michele.

The 30-year-old actor was an understudy in the original Broadway cast of the show Spring Awakening, which starred Lea and her BFF Jonathan Groff.

Well, today, if you missed it, Lea issued an apology statement to her Glee co-star Samantha Ware for allegations she made about her from the set of the TV show. Gerard took to the comments of Lea‘s Instagram post to leave a comment of his own, captured by Evan Ross Katz.

In the comment, it seems Gerard is indicating that this was his second time posting the comment and the first was seemingly deleted.

“You were nothing but a nightmare to me and fellow understudy cast members. You made us feel like we didn’t belong there. I tried for years to be nice to you to no avail. Maybe actually apologize instead of placing the blame on how others ‘perceive’ you,” he wrote.

After all these allegations came to light, Lea was actually let go by one brand she worked with.
