Milo Ventimiglia's Evel Knievel Series Will Not Move Forward at USA

The Evel Knievel series that was planned at USA, starring Milo Ventimiglia, has been axed, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The show was describing as an exhilarating portrait of a complex man living the American dream, juggling meteoric celebrity and raising a family — and facing the very real probability that his next jump will kill him.

The series was picked for a full season order at the network, however, as production was all set to start filming, coronavirus shut it down. The series was being filmed in New Mexico.

THR also reports that there is a possibility another network could pick up the show, and there are hopes to bring back the cast – which is Milo, Sarah Gadon, David Krumholtz and Michael Chernus – pending their availability.

One of the decisions in dropping the show was that it was based on scheduling and Milo had planned to film it during his hiatus from NBC’s This Is Us.

Many other things and events have been cancelled due to the pandemic, including a tour, stage shows and more.
