Chloe Bennet Exits 'Powerpuff Girls' Series at The CW - Here's Why

Chloe Bennet has exited the live-action CW pilot based on The Powerpuff Girls, where she was playing one of the three leads.

The 29-year-old actress was supposed to play the role of Blossom in the series. The show was piloted during pilot season earlier this year but was not picked up at that time. Instead, the series was being reworked to be repiloted at a later time.

At the time, a CW executive revealed the reason why the initial pilot was not successful. Fans believe it had something to do with the first photos that were seen on set.

Variety is reporting that The CW wanted to extend Chloe‘s option as they reworked the pilot, but there was a scheduling conflict and she had to exit. Blossom will be recast in the fall.

Dove Cameron is still set to play Bubbles and Yana Perrault is still attached to play Buttercup.
