America Ferrera Joins Margot Robbie in Upcoming 'Barbie' Movie

America Ferrera has joined the cast of the highly-anticipated movie Barbie!

The 37-year-old Emmy-winning actress – best known for her roles in Ugly Betty, Superstore, and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants – has signed on to star opposite Margot Robbie in the upcoming movie.

According to Variety, details on America‘s role are being kept under wraps. It has previously been announced that Margot, 31, will be playing the titular character while Ryan Gosling will be playing Ken.

Greta Gerwig is directing Barbie from a script that she co-wrote with husband Noah Baumbach. Production is set to begin early this year in London while a theatrical release is scheduled for 2023.
