Jason spoke about from the moment he was diagnosed in 2018, he had tried to lead a healthy life and that was what was planned in December 2019 – a walk with his dog, and then a spin class.

However, while at the spin class, he passed out.

“I was feeling fresh,” he recalled. “Fifteen minutes later I woke up on the floor with all the gym eyes on me. It wasn’t just embarrassing; it was a sign that something was definitely wrong.”

Just 10 months later, Jason‘s heart and kidneys were in complete failure, and he was looking at an immediate heart transplant or he’d be dead within a few months. Within just hours, a matching donor had become available that day.

“This gift I’ve been given has relit a light that was almost out,” he says.

Jason is only know opening up about his diagnosis and health with fans to encourage them to sign up as organ donors.

“I am so fortunate and so grateful that I was able to receive this transplant,” he shared. “If there’s a modicum of inspiration someone can take from what I’ve gone through, then it’s my job to get out there, and say something. It’s as close to a miracle as you get.”

Jason is the second star to speak out about cardiovascular health this month.
