Susan Lucci Undergoes Another Heart Surgery: 'Listen To Your Heart & Act On The Symptoms'

Susan Lucci has underwent an emergency heart procedure.

The 75-year-old All My Children actress revealed in an interview on Good Morning America that she just recently had the surgery after noticing worrying symptoms.

Speaking with Amy Robach on the program, Susan explained that she had been experiencing shortness of breath, and also had discomfort around her ribcage and her back.

“I thought, ‘This is crazy. These are the same kind of symptoms that I had three years ago but it can’t be,’” she said. “But when I lay down, I started to feel a sharp coming-and-going pain in my jaw.”

Susan decided to call her doctor right then and headed to the emergency room.

She advised everyone, especially women, to “listen to your heart and act on [the symptoms]. Give yourself permission to take good care of yourself. Be your own best friend. Be your own advocate. You’ll save your life.”

Susan had her first heart surgery in 2018.
