'The Santa Clauses' Series at Disney+ Adds Laura San Giacomo In Unique Role

Disney+’s The Santa Clauses is filling up its cast list!

The streaming network just revealed that actress Laura San Giacomo will be joining the series as a very interesting, and unique, character for the forthcoming show.

The upcoming sequel series picks up as Scott Calvin (Tim Allen) is on the brink of his 65th birthday and realizing that he can’t be Santa forever. He’s starting to lose a step in his Santa duties, and more importantly, he’s got a family who could benefit from a life in the normal world, especially his two kids who have grown up at the Pole.

With a lot of elves, children, and family to please, Scott sets out to find a suitable replacement Santa while preparing his family for a new adventure in a life south of the pole.

According to Deadline, Laura will take on the role of La Befana, aka a Christmas Witch.

Le Befana’s origins stem from Italian folklore, and she delivered treats to good children on the morning of the epiphany. She now resides in the Wobbly Woods of the North Pole.

Laura will join Tim, Elizabeth Mitchell and another original film star in the show.
