Maye Musk Explains Why She Sleeps in 'Garage' When Visiting Son Elon in Texas

Maye Musk is opening up about spending time with son Elon Musk.

In a new profile, the 74-year-old model discussed her close bond with the 51-year-old SpaceX and Tesla CEO.

While Elon might be the richest man in the world, Maye said that her son isn’t interested in possessions “at all.”

Back in April, Elon said that he doesn’t own a home, and that he has to stay at “friends’ places.”

Maye also revealed that when she goes to visit Elon in Texas – where the SpaceX headquarters are located – she has to “sleep in the garage.”

As for why she has to sleep in the garage, Maye told The UK’s The Sunday Times, “You can’t have a fancy house near a rocket site.”
