Lea Michele 'Funny Girl' Opening Night Photos Revealed, Jonathan Groff & John Gallagher Jr. Show Their Support!

Lea Michele made her Broadway debut as Funny Girl‘s Fanny Brice Tuesday (September 6), and photos are emerging from the show!

The 36-year-old Glee alum took over the role, first played by Barbra Streisand, from 29-year-old Beanie Feldstein and was greeted with four standing ovations before the show’s first intermission.

Lea had more than a few famous fans in the audience. Ryan Murphy and Jonathan Groff, both of whom worked with her on Glee, were seen hugging. Jonathan also posed for a photo with John Gallagher Jr.

Jonathan and John were both in the original Broadway cast of Spring Awakening with Lea.
