Jerry Lee Lewis Dead - 'Great Balls of Fire' Singer Passes Away at 87

Jerry Lee Lewis has passed away.

The rock ‘n’ roll singer, best known for his songs “Whole Lot of Shakin’ Going On” and “Great Balls of Fire,” passed away on Friday morning (October 28) at his home in Memphis, Tenn. He was 87.

Jerry‘s publicist confirmed the news to The Associated Press.

Jerry‘s death comes several days after a false report came out that he had died earlier this week. However, his rep confirmed on Wednesday (October 26) that Jerry had not yet passed.

The legendary musician suffered a minor stroke back in 2019. As of last year, he was broadcasting the “Rockin’ At the Ranch” live stream events from The Lewis Ranch.

Jerry was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986 then in 2005, he received a lifetime achievement award at the Grammys. His final album Rock & Roll Time was released in 2014.
