Diane Kruger 'Didn't Want Children' Until Her Daughter 'Changed My Life'

Diane Kruger is getting candid about parenthood.

The 46-year-old National Treasure star opened up about her personal and professional life in a new interview, where she discussed having her daughter with husband Norman Reedus.

She also admitted that kids were not always the plan for a very long time.

“I didn’t want children for a long time,” she told Tatler.

“I really liked my life the way it was,” she continued.

“In my late thirties, I was starting to think about it but I wasn’t in a place in my relationship at the time – or whatever – where that was going to be a possibility and so I had kind of given up hope and I thought it was just too late. And I was OK with that.”

She recalled feeling like “an outsider” growing up, and now wants to make sure their 4-year-old daughter Nova “always feel like she has a place everywhere.”

“The arrival of Nova has changed my life – our lives – in the best possible way. It’s just amazing that you thought you were one thing but you’re meant to do something completely different,” she said.
