Jonathan Bennett Includes One Of His Family's Special Traditions In New Hallmark Movie 'The Holiday Sitter'
Jonathan Bennett and George Krissa take a stroll together down a Christmas-themed lane in their new movie, The Holiday Sitter.
The movie marks the first time that a gay couple will lead a Hallmark movie, and it was actually inspired by Jonathan‘s experience on another Hallmark Channel movie.
While talking with Entertainment Weekly, Jonathan revealed that he got the idea for this movie when he was working on The Christmas House.
“I became friends with the family that owned the house where we were shooting, and they had four kids,” he said. “I would spend time with the kids on set, and the parents would crack up because I didn’t really understand how kids worked. Like ‘What… can I … can they go to craft service? What are they allowed to have?’”

During his takeover of Hallmark Channel Radio this weekend, Jonathan also revealed that as an executive producer on the flick, he was able to incorporate some of his own family’s traditions in it.
The tradition that Jonathan highlights is the moment when the family turns off all the lights in the home and the only lights actually on are the ones on the Christmas Tree.
He explained that he and his parents used to do this yearly, with “Silent Night” playing in the background.
