Broadway's 'Almost Famous' Musical Will End Run in January

The new Broadway musical Almost Famous has announced a closing date.

The show recently celebrated its opening night performance, but it sadly won’t remain on Broadway for much longer.

The producers of the show have announced that it will play its final performance on Broadway on Sunday, January 8, 2023. The musical will have played 30 preview performances and 77 performances through its final show.

In a statement the producers said, “Almost Famous, like the music it celebrates, will endure. We look forward to the release of the cast recording on March 17, and to the many productions in communities across the country and world, for years to come.”

Chris Wood, Solea Pfeiffer, Casey Likes, Anika Larsen, Drew Gehling, and Rob Colletti led the cast of the musical, which was based on the movie of the same name.

Cameron Crowe, who wrote and directed the movie, wrote the book and lyrics for the musical. The story was inspired by his own life!
