Lacey Chabert Responds to Candace Cameron Bure's Comments About Hallmark Becoming a 'Completely Different Network'

Candace Cameron Bure has ruffled a lot feathers lately with her comments about her move from Hallmark to Great American Family.

Last month, Candace talked about leaving Hallmark Channel and forming a new partnership with GAC Family, where she said there will be no movies featuring same-sex couples.

Now, longtime Hallmark actress Lacey Chabert is responding to Candace‘s comments that Hallmark is a “completely different network” today because of a “change of leadership.”

Lacey told Vulture, “Any shift I’ve felt has been embracing our creative ideas. And it’s my responsibility to the audience who continue to tune into my movies that I give the best I have to offer. That’s always my mission. I’ll never abandon what Hallmark means for me, which is that everything is centered around the heart. I don’t think there are any plans for that to change anytime soon.”

Lacey was also asked her thoughts on stars like Candace leaving Hallmark for Great American Family.

“You know what, I wish everybody the best. I really can’t comment on it further other than I care about everybody involved,” she said.

When asked if the network tried to poach her, Lacey said, “I’m with Hallmark, and I work for them. I’m so sorry, but I’ll just have to leave it at that.”

One actor who went to Great American Family has already quit the network because of Candace‘s comments.
