King Charles' Coronation Weekend Schedule Revealed, Includes Multiple Celebrations Spanning 3 Days With Major Stars Promised to Attend

King Charles

Saturday, May 6

King Charles and Queen Camilla‘s coronation will take place in the morning on May 6. The event will be held in Westminster Abbey and conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury.

According to the royal family’s website, the event will begin with a procession from Buckingham Palace and will conclude with a procession back, which is called The Coronation Procession. This is when you can expect to see fellow royals such as Prince William and Princess Catherine. More of the family will likely be present for a final event when they greet celebrants from a balcony.

While the ceremony is likely to be opulent, the website noted that it “will reflect the Monarch’s role today and look towards the future, while being rooted in longstanding traditions and pageantry.”
