Charli XCX Wears Totally Sheer Dress & Thong to 2023 BRIT Awards, Seemingly Shades Show for Male-Heavy Nominations

Charli XCX made a statement in what might be her most daring outfit to date when she walked the red carpet at the 2023 BRIT Awards.

The 30-year-old “Good Ones” pop star arrived at the awards show wearing a totally sheer, backless dress over a thong on Saturday (February 11). She opted out of wearing a bra, leaving her bare chest almost totally exposed.

Charli paired the daring dress with white heels and simple accessories. She wore her hair long, and used it to cover her chest in some photos.

Taking to social media, she shared pics of her look and also seemingly shaded the awards show.

If you were unaware, the BRIT Awards did away with gendered categories at the show. However, this year some of the biggest categories heavily favored men. In fact, not a single woman was in the running for Artist of the Year. Only one nominee in Album of the Year – Wet Leg – was female.

Charli was solely nominated for Best Pop/R&B Act.

She appeared to allude to the uneven representation of artists in the caption accompanying her pics on Instagram – “Real Winner.”

Another artist directly named multiple women who were overlooked in this year’s nominations when picking up an award during the ceremony.
