Cate Blanchett Among Stars to Sport Blue Ribbon at BAFTAs 2023, Reason Why Revealed

Cate Blanchett is looking as gorgeous as ever on the red carpet at the 2023 EE British Academy Film Awards on Sunday (February 19) at Royal Albert Hall in London, England.

The 53-year-old actress is nominated in the Leading Actress category this year for her work on the critically acclaimed film Tár. Be sure to see the full list of nominees for the BAFTAs.

You may be wondering why some attendees are wearing blue ribbons on their looks. It’s part of the #WithRefugees initiative to show support for those displaced, including the refugees from Ukraine forced to flee during Russia’s ongoing war against the country. The UNHCR adds, “The #WithRefugees Coalition is a powerful force for good inspiring work in solidarity with people forced to flee all over the world.”

In addition, if you’re thinking this dress looks a little familiar…it’s because Cate has worn it in the past! She previously donned the look at the Academy Awards back in 2015. She won the Best Actress award for Blue Jasmine back in 2014, and presented the Best Actor award on stage in 2015.
