Fans noticed something in particular about the statement that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle released about their daughter Lilibet‘s recent Christening.

If you don’t know, the couple released a statement, from their spokesperson, confirming the following: “I can confirm that Princess Lilibet was christened on Friday, March 3 by the Archbishop of Los Angeles, the Rev John Taylor.”

It appears as if this is the first time the couple have referred to their daughter with the title “Princess,” and it appears as if the two Sussex kids are officially Prince and Princess!

Upon the death of Queen Elizabeth, the titles were bestowed on Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

People reports that the rule was brought on during the reign of King George V and it reads: “…the grandchildren of the sons of any such sovereign in the direct male line (save only the eldest living son of the eldest son of the Prince of Wales) shall have and enjoy in all occasions the style and title enjoyed by the children of dukes of these our realms.”

The site is reporting that the children’s titles will only be used in “formal settings and not in everyday use.”
