Tyra Banks' 'DWTS' Replacement Revealed: It's Julianne Hough - Read Her Statement!

Tyra Banks revealed last week that she would be exiting as co-host of Dancing with the Stars after joining the show in 2020.

Now, her replacement has been revealed to be longtime DWTS dancer and friend of the show, Julianne Hough! Alfonso Ribeiro will be returning as co-host. Julianne was first a pro dancer on the show when she joined in 2007. She left in 2009 after winning seasons four and five, but later returned as a judge in 2014. She left the show again in 2017. She did return for a guest judge stint in 2021.

In a new statement, Julianne reacted to the news, telling Variety, “It is such an honor to be rejoining ‘Dancing with the Stars’ as co-host. The show holds such a special place in my heart from the many years and different roles I have had the privilege of being a part of.”

She added, “The incredible team that brings the ballroom to life every night has been my family for the past 17 years. I am so excited to reunite with Alfonso, Carrie Ann, Bruno, Derek, the unbelievably talented pros, and the amazing cast on the dance floor. The energy is magnetic every time you step foot in to the ballroom and I can’t wait to feel it again — and of course to share it all with the absolute best and most loyal fans — for another exciting season.”
