Who Should Win the Video Vanguard Award at the MTV VMAs 2024? Vote for Your Fav!

The Video Vanguard Award is the most prestigious honor a musician can take home from the MTV Video Music Awards.

It’s an honor, bestowed upon everyone from Michael and Janet Jackson to Britney Spears, Madonna, Justin Timberlake and Beyonce, that recognizes artists who have consistently delivered cutting edge and game-changing visuals.

This year’s recipient is Shakira, who fits right in with the game-changing icons who have already taken home the Moon Person. She is truly a deserving winner, but we’re already thinking about who should receive the Video Vanguard Award next year at the 2024 MTV VMAs.

We put together a poll so that you could let us know who deserves the honor most!

Our list contains some acts that you might be genuinely surprised to learn have not yet received the award. Did you know that legends such as Paul Abdul, Shania Twain and the Spice Girls haven’t yet taken home the win?

Moving forward in pop history, acts such as Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift and Katy Perry are renowned for their visual story telling and blockbuster releases but also haven’t been awarded yet.

Other artists, such as BTS and Bad Bunny, are relatively newer to the scene but have still managed to leave a lasting impact.

There are so many viable options, and we know that we might have missed someone. Vote for whoever you think deserves the win and feel free to write in a fav if they aren’t represented.

You’ll have just over two weeks to make your voice heard. The poll closes on Monday September 25 at 10pm ET. After that, we’ll let you know who came out on top!
