'Dancing With The Stars' To Premiere As Scheduled Following WGA Strike End Deal

Dancing With The Stars will go on as planned, following the WGA reaching a deal.

According to Deadline and other outlets, the reality competition series is sticking to its’ original premiere date – Tuesday, September 26 on ABC.

However, fans are still wondering if Matt Walsh, who stepped back amid criticisms from picketers, will be competing.

Turns out, he will! Matt will officially be on the ballroom dance floor tomorrow night with pro partner, Koko Iwasaki.

“With the hopeful resolution and vote with the WGA, Dancing with the Stars would no longer be a struck show therefore all cast would be able to return. This includes WGA member Matt Walsh,” a rep for the actor shared in a statement.

If you’re wondering, DWTS is covered under SAG-AFTRA’s Network Code, and is therefore, safe tor these stars to be part of.

Alyson Hannigan, Mira Sorvino, Jamie Lynn Spears, Mauricio Umansky, Tyson Beckford, Xochitl Gomez, Too Hot To Handle‘s Harry Jowsey, The Bachelorette‘s Charity Lawson, Vanderpump RulesAriana Madix, Jason Mraz, Adrian Peterson, Lele Pons, and The Brady Bunch star Barry Williams will all be participating as well.
