Willam was the first queen in Drag Race “Herstory” to be disqualified.

In Episode 8 of Season 4, which aired in 2011, Willam won the main challenge with Latrice Royale, but was disqualified at the end of the episode for breaking the rules, although it was not clear what happened.

At the Season 4 reunion, Willam revealed what happened: he was receiving “conjugal visits” from his husband, violating his contract agreement. However in later years, Willam has since claimed in interviews that Willam had been vocal about injustices behind-the-scenes, and that wasn’t the only rule broken.
