'Gilmore Girls' Creator's New Show 'Marvelous Mrs. Maisel' Gets Two-Season Order on Amazon

Amy Sherman-Palladino, the creative mind behind the hit series Gilmore Girls, has a new series coming to Amazon!

The show, titled Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, got ordered for two seasons on Monday (April 10), marking the steaming service’s first multi-season order for a new series.

Amy will write, direct, and executive produce the series, starring Rachel Brosnahan (House of Cards, Manhattan) as Miriam “Midge” Maisel, a housewife in the 1950s who decides to become a standup comic.

Marvelous Mrs. Maisel also stars Tony Shalhoub, Michael Zegen, Alex Borstein, Abe Weissman, and Marin Hinkle.

The pilot was released on Amazon Prime last month. We can’t wait to see what the next seasons have in store!
